Filtering Labels

Projects can get big quickly. Filters let you narrow a label table down to just the values you care about, whether that's labels flagged for a second opinion, a single batch of patients, or only the values still waiting on review. Filters also persist as you move between views, so you don't have to rebuild them every time.

Opening the Filter Menu

  1. Go to a label table (like the Label View for a Patient, or all labels for a Variable). Filters are also available on Label Generation.
  2. Click "Filters".
  3. Choose the filters you want to apply. The menu is organized under subheaders, and you can collapse any section you aren't using.
Users can find the filter menu on the on the top right hand side of label review table.

Types of Filters

Visibility Two checkboxes control which labels are shown:

    • Show Default Value Labels: Includes labels where a variable returned its default value. See Variable Options & the Default Value for more on how default values work.
    • Show Condition-Excluded Labels: Includes labels marked "Excluded by Conditions", which are values that were skipped because a variable's condition wasn't met. See Conditional Generation for Variables for details.

Batch Limit the table to patients from a single upload batch. The default is "All Batches".

Variables Select one or more variables to show only their labels. You can also select Instruments to show every variable in a group. See Using Variable Instruments for more on instruments.

Review Status Show or hide labels based on where they are in review: Accepted, Edited, Removed, or To Review. All four are selected by default, so uncheck any status you don't want to see. For example, uncheck everything except "To Review" to see only what's left to review.

Flags and Comments Filter by flag (Teal, Orange, Gray, or No Flags) and by comment (Has a comment or No comment). See Flagging & Commenting on Label Results for more on adding flags and comments.

MRN Select one or more MRNs to show labels for specific patients.

Show values for patients where Narrow the table to patients whose values meet a condition. Choose a variable, choose a rule, enter a value if the rule needs one, and click "Add a Condition" to stack more. Click the X next to a condition to remove it. This is a good way to focus on a specific subset of your cohort. On Label Generation, this works with structured data variables, including one per note and one per patient variables.

Available rules: - has value - does NOT have value - is equal to - is NOT equal to - is less than - is greater than - is between

Persistent Filters

Filters stay applied as you move between views. For example, if you filter a variable's labels to "To Review" and then open a patient, the filter is still there when you come back. Filters are shared between Label Generation and Label View.

A few things to know about how they persist:

    • Just for you: Your filters are only visible to you. Teammates working in the same project won't see them.
    • Project specific: Filters don't carry over into another project.
    • Cleared on logout: Filters don't carry over after you log out.

When filters are applied, a "Previous filter choices applied" button appears on the left side of the table. To clear your filters, close this button or clear filters in the filter menu.

To adjust a single filter instead, open the Filters menu and change that selection.
