March 2026 Release Notes

📚 Variable Library: High-Quality Variables, Ready to Use

The Variable Library is a curated set of validated, pre-built variables maintained by Brim. Browse and search across 5 bundles of variables and add any variable to your project with a single click.

Library variables are:

  • Created by the Brim team, so you can trust their definitions out of the box.
  • Fully editable. Start with a library variable and tweak it for your needs. Editing a library variable converts it to a custom variable so you always have full control.
  • Logically complete, so adding a variable automatically pulls in any required input variables.

To browse the library, go to Settings → Variable Library, or use the new Add Variables menu in Project Setup and select “Add from Library”. Learn more about how to use the Variable Library in our documentation.

Have a variable you’d like to see in the library? We’d love your input as we grow this resource. Reply to this email or send suggestions to support@brimanalytics.com.

đź•“ Variable History: See How Your Variables Have Evolved

Now it’s easy to see exactly how your variable definitions have evolved over time.

Variable History gives you a full record of changes to any variable’s definition, so you can:

  • Track what changed and when
  • Compare past and current versions side by side
  • Revert to an earlier version if it performed better in abstraction

This is especially useful when you’re iterating through optimization or troubleshooting a drop in agreement scores.

You can find Variable History on the Edit Variable screen for a variable. Just go to “Actions” in the top right, and select “Show History.” Learn more about how the Variable History works in our documentation.

Also in this Release

  • Gemini added as an LLM provider
