How to Delete Documents

Need to remove documents from your Brim project? Whether you're cleaning up test data or removing documents for a specific patient, Brim makes it easy to do so—but be careful: this action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Permissions Required

To delete documents, you must have the "Can delete documents" permission enabled for your user account. If you don't see the Delete Documents option, contact someone from your organization with Brim Admin status to update your permissions.

How to Delete Documents

  1. Go to Settings

Open your project in Brim and navigate to Settings > Manage Project.

    Click "Delete Documents"

In the middle of the page, you’ll see a Delete Documents button. Click it to open the deletion options.

    Choose What to Delete

    • All Documents: This will permanently remove every document in the project.
    • Documents for a Specific Patient: Enter a patient ID to delete only that patient’s documents.

  2. Confirm the Deletion

Type the confirmation phrase exactly as shown, then click Confirm Deletion.

⚠️ Warning: Once deleted, documents cannot be recovered. Please double-check your selection before confirming.
