Automatically Creating a Variable
Brim allows you to automatically create a variable: you enter a name and description, and Brim automatically generates all of the fields and the LLM instruction using your inputs, the LLM, and Brim's Variable Best Practices.
See how to do it below:
Brim uses the Variable Scorecard to guide its creation of variables.
Tips:
- Always check the fields after generation to make sure they look correct to you. AI can misunderstand your intent just like a human can!
- You can reference other variables in the instruction by using an open curly bracket (" { ") and selecting the variable you want to reference from the list. This will allow the LLM to understand exactly how to use the input variables you specify. Learn more about referencing variables.
- If you'd rather manually create the variable, try the "Skip AI" button at the bottom of the page.
